Our anti-skid screed installation follows a 7-step process — ensuring the texture is correctly built, bonded, and sealed for long-term safety performance.

Surface Preparation

The concrete floor is mechanically prepared using grinding or shot blasting to remove dust, laitance, and weak particles — creating a strong bonding profile for the screed system.

Crack & Joint Repair

All cracks and damaged areas are repaired with resin mortar to create a stable, level base — preventing movement or failure beneath the screed layer.

Primer Coat

A high-performance epoxy or PU primer is applied for strong adhesion — ensuring the screed layer bonds permanently to the concrete substrate.

Screed Layer Application

A resin + silica sand / aggregate mix is applied to build thickness, strength, and the base texture of the floor. Thickness varies by load requirements of the project.

Texture / Anti-Skid Finish

Extra aggregates are broadcast and pressed into the surface to create the required anti-slip texture level — fine, medium, or coarse depending on the safety specification.

Seal Coat / Top Coat

A seal coat is applied to lock the texture in place and improve durability, chemical resistance, and long-term performance — without reducing the surface grip.

Curing & Handover

After proper curing, a final inspection is carried out. The floor is then cleared for pedestrian and vehicle traffic — with full performance from day one.
